PRIDE Month: Welcoming and Celebrating All
June is PRIDE Month — a time to celebrate the dignity, gifts, and belovedness of LGBTQIA+ people and to remember the ongoing work of justice, welcome, and belonging in our communities. As followers of Jesus, we believe that every person is created in the image of God and worthy of love, respect, and care. At Grace, we strive to be a place where all people know they are welcomed and embraced as full participants in the life of the congregation. We give thanks for the diversity of God’s people and for the many ways our lives and faith are strengthened through each other’s stories, experiences, and gifts. PRIDE Month is also an opportunity to reflect on Jesus’ commandment to love one another. In a world where many still experience rejection or exclusion, the church is called to embody Christ’s radical hospitality, compassion, and grace.
Whoever you are, wherever you come from, and wherever you are on your faith journey: you are welcome here, and you are loved by God.
With joy in Christ, Pastor Tania
