Serve with Grace
Love God. Love neighbors.
Our faith guides how we engage in and with the world.
We are Called.
God calls us to use our individual and unique gifts to love and serve each other and our neighbors, especially those who are in need, hungry, or hurting.
Jesus said, “you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength… and love your neighbor as yourself.” ~ Mark 12:30-31
We are Sent
In worship each week, after we have heard God’s word, received the presence of Christ in the bread and wine of Holy Communion, prayed for a world and people in need, and heard God’s blessing, we are sent back out into the world that God loves with the words of the dismissal: “Go in peace” to… love and serve the Lord … follow the way of Jesus … share the good news … shine the light of Christ.
As we are sent into the world to love and serve in Jesus’ name, we are reminded that when worship has ended, our service in the world has begun.
We Serve.
At Grace, we serve in many different ways, depending on our individual gifts, the people and issues that matter the most to us. We serve within Grace – in worship, Christian education, fellowship, committees, ministry teams, and caring ministries. And, we serve in the world through school, work, and community organizations. Social Action Ministry coordinates learning and service out in the community, helping our neighbors in need.
Ministry Partners
Grace also partners with the following organizations to feed and serve the local community.
Adel Good Samaritan Food Pantry lends a helping hand by providing access to basic needs while offering connection and hope. We serve the residents of the ADM School District, the Van Meter School District, and anyone with a Redfield, Dexter or Linden address.
