Social Action Ministry
Faith into action for the benefit of society and our community
Social Action ministry at Grace is one way we engage in the mission of Jesus Christ in our world and live out our baptismal calling to proclaim the love of God in both word and deed, serve all people following the example of Jesus, and strive for justice and peace.
The Social Action committee plans and coordinates opportunities for service, learning, and advocacy to help and support our neighbors in need.
You can engage with Social Action ministry through:

For example, through our partnership with the Adel Good Samaritan Food Pantry [insert link to their page], folks can become aware of hunger and food insecurity in our community, learn more about why people experience food insecurity, donate money, food, and other items, serve in the Garden of Grace [link to Garden page] and at the pantry, and advocate about specific legislation (such as the Farm Bill and SNAP) with elected representatives.
