Sharing Space and Serving the Community
Grace Partners with the Adel Good Samaritan Food Pantry (GSFP) Backpack Program
Starting in April, the city of Adel will be closing Rapids Street between 11th and 12th Street for a reconstruction project. During this closure, the GSFP will relocate their operations for the “backpack program” to Grace. Starting this week, the food pantry will be using the first small classroom in the education wing to store supplies and food, as well as assemble bags that are provided to kids. This is a great opportunity to learn about the backpack program and how the food pantry supports our neighbors in need. We are blessed by our partnership with the pantry and are happy to be able to provide space for this part of their operations!
Thank you to the Grace Council, Trish Radke, Carole Erickson-Schepers, Abby Carlson, Kim and Todd Nordquist, Sarah Benn, Eric Schepers, and Pastor Tania for helping make this transition possible.
