From the Council President

Your congregation council held our March meeting recently. Some highlights include:

• We agreed to move ahead on the proposal from the Walls to Welcome committee to freshen up the entry area (narthex). Watch for changes in the near future. The committee continues to discuss a few other ideas. Please share your thoughts and feedback as we progress.

• We have established council connections to each of the ministry teams for 2026. An ongoing goal is for ministry teams to be led by members of our congregation, rather than council members. Several ministry teams are already set-up, and we hope to continue that progress. See below for the list of ministry teams and council representatives

• With leadership from Anika Blum, Office Administrator, any expenses possible are run through a cash rewards credit card. With an opening rewards balance and current expenses, we have already received cash back of over $800.

• Pastor Tania completed the ELCA and Southeastern Iowa Synod annual reports. One part is updating the congregation's list of members. Happily we grew again in 2025! Everyone can help us continue that trend in our growing community for the health of our church through inviting and welcoming newcomers
