At the October council meeting, your congregation Council discussed multiple items.
On our financial front, we have some good news and some puzzling news. First, the GOOD NEWS!! The Stewardship campaign has been completed, and we THANK YOU ALL for your continued support of Grace. We had over 50% more families make a pledge for 2027! We have almost $160,000 in pledged giving. We decided to set our 2027 budget at $180,000 anticipating that we will receive $20,000 in non-pledged giving. Pledged offering to the Building fund also increased to $66,000 and with some non-pledged giving to this as well, we anticipate covering the mortgage payments in 2027. The bottom line on our Stewardship campaign is that we now have more pledged giving in all categories, and this work is completed in time to plan the 2027 budget!
The puzzling news is that giving in September was the lowest all year for both the general and building funds. I would ask that everyone do their best in fourth quarter to catch up with their giving and, if at all possible, give a little extra to our church.
We began planning for the Council activities that must be done in fourth quarter - budget, reports, annual meeting, ministries, and hopefully a time to catch our breath and be joyful. We are part of a vibrant church community and lucky to be blessed.
Thank you for your continued prayers, involvement, skills, and support of Grace!
