From the Council President

At the September council meeting, your congregation Council discussed/reviewed multiple items:

Our Stewardship campaign is off to a roaring start! We had a kickoff brunch and the team competition is fun! We are excited that we will be able to plan earlier for our ministry teams in 2027 and potentially have some extra resources to use to further the ministry of Grace Lutheran Church.

We celebrated "God's Work Our Hands" day by packing over 100 hygiene kits to be given out by the food pantry. What a great way to extend our ministry to our neighbors.

Our giving in August was lower than our monthly budget, but we are still running ahead of our yearly budget. We are actually in the black and had budgeted to be in the red. Our building giving was below the monthly mortgage, and we are running slightly behind for the year. Again, we APPRECIATE your gifts to our Church.

Your Council is beginning to plan ministry programs for 2027!  We have many activities that we do each year but are always open to new ideas. Please let us know if you have ideas on how we can deliver on our mission.

I am happy to report that Kari Maffin has agreed to be our new treasurer when David completes his tenure. Thank you, Kari!

I hope by now you have had a chance to pick up a yard sign. I think they look great and we are happy to get the word out about Grace in this time of year when many are looking for a church to call home.

Thank you for your continued prayers, involvement, skills, and support of our Church!

Todd Nordquist, Council President
