Bible Study: “Peace be with you”

Sundays at 10:30 am, starting Sunday, August 2,

Join us for a Bible study on John 19:20-21, “Peace be with you.” We will gather in the fellowship hall for a short video, storytelling, and discussion.

The theme of the 2026 Synod Assembly was “Peace be with you,” the words that the risen Christ uses to greet the disciples on the evening of the first day. The Southeastern Iowa Synod has prepared a Bible Study that encourages and equips us to practice sharing our faith stories around this theme. When we hear the stories of Jesus and share our own stories inspired by the Risen Christ, we practice proclaiming the Good News to each other, to our neighbors, and to the whole world. The weekly themes are:

August 2 - Fear
August 9 - Peace
August 16 - Rejoice
August 23 - Sent

This study will also be offered on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm, starting on September 16. If you prefer to “self-study” at home, the materials and videos are below. More information is available on the synod website: Synod Assembly Recap
